Headlining UFC 132 is the return title fight between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber. Last time these two met, current Bantamweight title holder Dominick Cruz was defeated by Urijah Faber – his only loss.
This was back in 2007, so it remains to be seen if Faber can do the same thing again.

CURRENT CRUZ vs FABER ODDS AND BETTING LINES
Dominick Cruz: -155 at BetDSI (USA odds) | 1.73 at BetFred (UK/Europe)
Urijah Faber: +148 at SportBet (USA odds) | 2.3 at Bodog (UK/Europe)
THE CASE FOR URIJAH FABER
Well, he’s done it once, so it’s possible he can do it again. However, that fight was at featherweight and was Cruz’ first time out in what was then the WEC. Since then Cruz is undefeated and is rightly ranked as #1 bantamweight in MMA.
In terms of style, however, Faber has a greater breadth of skills than his opponent. His kick-boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu are particularly potent, as can clearly be seen by the number of times he has won via choke holds.
A lot of people predicting a Cruz win have been talking about his reach but actually Faber has a 69 inch reach compared to Cruz’ 68. However, Faber does have some significant weaknesses that Cruz is well placed to take advantage of.
THE CASE FOR DOMINICK CRUZ
The fact is that Faber can get bullied by powerful strikers and Cruz is nothing if not a great boxer. Faber has lost several times by T/KO and Cruz has won more than a few by the same method.
Faber is in with a chance if he can get close enough, but I just don’t see him being able to do that. Cruz is a slippery customer and his footwork is excellent, so he should be able to keep out of harm’s reach.
FABER vs CRUZ PREDICTION AND PICK
I’m going to pick Dominick Cruz to win by decision.
