UFC 115 – Liddell vs Franklin this upcoming Saturday, June 12th at the GM Place in Vancouver, Canada. This legendary bout has Chuck Liddell (member of the UFC Hall of Fame) vs former middleweight master Rich “metal fist” Franklin is for sure the fight of the night.

“Liddell and Franklin, in the 205 pounds zone, will be a war” said Dana White during an interview prior to the event, and he is not wrong about it. These two “gladiators” deliver all of themselves every second of the fight. Both want to return to the top of the light-heavyweight division.

It is a match dreamed of by UFC fanatics during the last few years, and finally the time has come. These two most important champions in the history of the UFC will collide in the stellar battle of the first UFC event to be carried out in Vancouver.

Another great fight and probably my favorites for this card will be Cro Cop vs Pat Barry. This will be an awesome fight; I have admired Mirko Filipovic since the old K1 and Pride days. I have an unwavering biased that Cro Cop has the best knockout head kick bar none in MMA. I’ve almost forgotten the time where Gabriel Gonzaga used his own finishing move on him with a swift head kick at UFC 70.

Filipovic last fight was on Feb 21st, 2010 vs. fighter Anthony Perosh, where Cro Cop dominated for two consecutive rounds before cutting Perosh’s forehead which forced a doctor stoppage the third round and awarded the TKO win to Filipovic. Cro Cop has won 3 of his last 4 MMA fights by TKO and he seems to be on the best shape of his life.

However I also have a lot of respect for Barry, him been much newer than Cro Cop to the game, he is also a very good contender, who has a brutal right low kick and fast fist game. I admire his fighters’ big heart and love for the sport, on his last win against Antoni Hardonk, Barry claimed that before the fight he was broke, and was living on ketchup and rice. Still he gave it all and earned Knockout of the Night and Fight of the Night honors at UFC 104.
