New title holder Rua spices up UFC’s light heavyweight division

The vibe was there during ESPN’s MMA Live postfight show at UFC 113. Rashad Evans felt the breath of fresh air with a new UFC champ at light heavyweight. Evans appeared to be buried as far as getting a shot at Lyoto Machida anytime soon. Now that Machida is out of the way for now does that mean an Evans win over Quinton Jackson later this month at UFC 114 delivers him a title shot? There’s also no more conflict with Anderson Silva taking a shot at the 205 strap.
