Brawl After "Strikeforce: Nashville" Brings Smiles To Dana White’s Face

UFC president Dana White was eating crow all week after his middleweight superstar, Anderson Silva, made a mockery out of the organization’s most monumental show. Time heals all wounds and thankfully for Octagon brass, they only had to wait a week for the “Strikeforce: Nashville” circus to roll into MMA’s town.
Fans inside the Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night witnessed the worst riot in mixed martial arts history after middleweight champion Jake Shields handed Dan Henderson a lopsided unanimous decision loss.
While trying to give his celebratory speech, Jason “Mayhem” Miller, the man Shields defeated for the open 185-pound title at “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers” in November, lived up to his nickname by jumping in and stealing the champ’s spotlight.
“What’s up, where’s my rematch,” Miller questioned.
Shields didn’t take too kindly to Miller’s antics and charged him. Miller came rushing back but was rudely greeted by Shield’s entourage, which included Strikeforce champs Gilbert Melendez, Nick Diaz and about a dozen other homies.
Although the UFC was countering the CBS broadcast with a first-time replay of UFC 110 on Spike TV, Dana White took a brief moment to comment on his rival’s second primetime show minutes after the chaos ensued.
”
” — White sarcastically Tweeted.
