UFC posfight interview Duffee: Power forward turned power puncher

Who the hell is this guy, had to be the phrase around Rose Garden Arena when Todd Duffee scored his UFC record seven second knockout of Tim Hague. The 6-foot-4, 251 pound Duffee used what he called his “super-power jab” that he stole from 135-pounder Micah Miller to floor 260 pound Tim Hague. Once it hit the ground, the relentless Duffee pounded away with six more shots. It’s definitely not poker but Duffee said Hague had an interesting “tell” indicating that he was hurt:
“I saw his eyes open back up and he made a remark, so to speak and I realized he didn’t kow what was happening. He goes oh [expletive] and I was like ‘oh he’s hurt.’ I planned on being aggressive coming down. Initially when I came down I was like ‘let’s get two big shots and settle’ but when I was saw him do that I wasn’t looking to settle, I was looking to finish.”
Duffee is an impressive looking dude at just 23-years-old. He’s fighting out much-hyped American Top Team in South Florida. His road to pro MMA is interesting. He played all sports in high school but really wanted to be a basketball player. He settled on football when he went to Southern Illinois as a linebacker. It didn’t work out with the Salukis because of injuries. At the same time, Duffee began training some boxing. He eventually made his way to the University of Georgia and got involved in the MMA community in Athens, where some of the prominent guys eventually landed in Coconut Creek, Florida.
