Dancing with Liddell: Wager with White and flamboyant outfits

Chuck Liddell’s fighting career may be stalled, but his dancing career is just getting warmed up. He will debut soon on with “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC, and has already started training for the show.
At UFC 101, he ran into Dana White, who chided Liddell for gaining weight. Knowing that he was going onto DWTS, Liddell made a bet with White that he would weigh 215 by mid-September.
“Did you see him in Philly? He was telling me he weighed 232 (pounds). He’s full of [expletive]. He looked like he weighed about 250,” White said. “I said, ‘You’ve got to weigh 214 (pounds) by [Sept. 15].’ So we’ve got a $10,000 bet that that’s what he’s got to weigh.”
Considering how quickly the pounds have melted off DWTS contestants in the past, it looks like Liddell will soon have $10,000 of White’s money.
Liddell is also not concerned about the ribbing he’ll take from fans and friends for going on the show.
I think they’ll watch and vote to keep me on so they can keep making fun of me! No matter what, they’re going to make fun of me. But I could wear the manliest outfit or the most flamboyant outfit on there and they’ll still make fun of me. I’m not worried about the costumes. I’m going to laugh at them myself. I’m trying to have fun with it.
Liddell says that he is using the time on DWTS to contemplate retirement. He had never gone on the show before because he didn’t want to take time away from training, but this was a good time for him to do it.
