Vera vs Soszynski Prediction and Odds

Brandon Vera and Krzysztof Soszynski are two formidable light heavweight fighters with contrasting styles.

Vera, who dropped down from heavyweight because of his smaller stature, has an extremely strong – and unusual – Muay Thai technique and a good ground game.

However, Soszynski is probably better on the ground. He certainly has strong wrestling and submission skills and could dominate and even submit Vera if Vera’s takedown defence is lacking.

Most people are predicting a Vera win – his kicks are awesome and Soszynski lacks the technique or the speed to cope with Vera while standing.

Personally, I would take Vera to win (best odds of -170 at BetUS ). I don’t think Soszynski is going to be able to get anywhere near him and I take Vera to win by TKO, probably in round 3.
