MGM Grand Garden ArenaAn estimated 11,000 fans attended UFC 100 on Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, generating a $5.1 million live gate for the historic pay-per-view event, which was co-headlined by Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir and Georges St-Pierre vs. Thiago Alves.

The figures were announced by the UFC at the post-fight press conference.

The $5.1 million gate is the second-highest ever for the promotion, falling just short of the $5.4 million gate of UFC 66 in December 2006, which was headlined by Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz.

In addition to the near-record live gate, UFC 100 is expected to be the most-watched UFC PPV event in history, with predictions that it could surpass 1.5 million buys and generate record single-event revenues for the world’s top promotion.
